Functional Medicine Market Map (“FMMM,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate your account, respond to inquiries and listing requests, route your message to the right team (support, partnerships, or general), improve the site, and — only where you’ve opted in — send you updates about FMMM.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and Analytics

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and to understand how visitors use the site (analytics). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how parts of the site function.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party service providers to operate this site and its forms, including:

These providers process data on our behalf and are not authorized to use it for their own purposes.

Data Retention and Your Rights

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to respond to your inquiry. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing support@functionalmedicinemarketmap.com.

Not Medical Advice

FMMM is a business directory and market intelligence platform for the functional medicine industry. Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, and FMMM is not a healthcare provider.

Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above.

SMS and Text Message Communications

Where you provide a mobile phone number and expressly consent, Functional Medicine Market Map may send you text messages. We collect mobile phone numbers only through forms where consent is obtained, and we maintain a record of that consent.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent records are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.

We use two categories of message:

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages in that category. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@functionalmedicinemarketmap.com.

Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.

We share mobile numbers only with service providers who transmit messages on our behalf (for example, our CRM and messaging platform), and those providers are contractually prohibited from using the information for their own purposes.

Expanded Privacy Policy

THE SHORT VERSION

For convenience only. The full policy governs.

1. Who We Are

This policy explains how SAMTI Management, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as Functional Medicine Market Map (“FMMM,” “we,” “us”), collects and uses personal information through functionalmedicinemarketmap.com, its subdomains, and related services (the “Services”).

For residents of the EEA/UK, FMMM is the data controller for the personal information described here.

2. Scope

This policy covers information we collect from visitors, free-tier users, paid members, Directory listees, and affiliate program participants.

It does not cover the privacy practices of third-party websites, practitioners, or vendors you find through the Directory. It also does not cover data you process using Platform Tools in your own business — for that data, you are the controller and we act as your processor under our agreement with you.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information you give us

CategoryExamples
AccountName, email, phone, password
BillingBilling name, address, and the last four digits and expiry of your card. Full card numbers are collected and stored by our payment processor, never by us.

AffiliatePayout details and tax information where you enroll in a referral program

3.2 Information collected automatically

3.3 Information from third parties

3.4 Sensitive information we do not want

Do not submit protected health information, patient records, or clinical data to the Services. The Services are business software and are not configured to receive PHI unless you have a separate written agreement with us. If you submit PHI without such an agreement, you do so in violation of our Terms and at your own risk.

4. How We Use Information

Legal bases (EEA/UK): performance of a contract; legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services; consent for marketing and non-essential cookies; and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Email and SMS Communications

5.1 Transactional. We send messages necessary to your account — receipts, renewal notices, security alerts, and service updates. These are not marketing and you cannot opt out while you hold an active account.

5.2 Marketing. We send marketing email only where you have opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Your Choices

6.2 Consent. Non-essential cookies load only in accordance with your consent choices. We use a consent management tool and Google Consent Mode, which adjusts tag behavior based on your selection. You can change your choices anytime via the cookie settings link in the site footer.

6.3 Do Not Track. Browsers send DNT signals inconsistently and there is no common standard. Where required by applicable law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out request.

6.4 Opting out of Google Analytics. You may install Google’s browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
