This is an early-stage build, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. You will see what is being added, what is being tested, what works, and what gets fixed. Nothing here is dressed up to look bigger than it is.
That transparency is deliberate. A map of an industry is only worth using if you can see how it is made and trust what is on it.
Why we built this
Functional medicine is growing fast, and practitioners entering or scaling in the field face urgent buying decisions: which training to pursue, which labs to trust, which software runs a practice well, and which partners are worth the investment. Until now there was no single, current, trustworthy map of that ecosystem.
Functional Medicine Market Map serves practitioners and the companies that support them first. Patient-facing search will come later, built on the same verified foundation.
What we are building in public
Four things get reported openly as they develop:
- Building — what is being added, tested, launched, and fixed.
- People — practitioners, creators, vendors, and Market Makers joining the ecosystem.
- Economics — how recurring commissions, practice independence, and sponsor economics actually work.
- Movement — signups, profiles, categories, Market Makers, and verified milestones.
We do not fake activity, member counts, rankings, sponsor demand, or leaderboard movement. If a number appears on this site, it is real. If a feature is not working yet, it is labeled as coming soon rather than presented as live.
What makes us different
Freshness. Every listing carries a last verified date, and listings are reviewed on a regular cycle. Sponsored placements are always labeled. Editorial listings are never paid. Our ranking approach is transparent and documented in our Editorial and Listing Policy.
Sponsored placement is a commercial relationship. Verification is a factual check. Editorial selection is our own judgment. Those three things are kept visibly separate, because collapsing them is how directories lose the trust that makes them useful.
Use AI to create leverage. Share the leverage.
FMMM uses AI, automation, digital distribution, and a deliberately lean team to reduce structural overhead. The intent is not to capture all of that efficiency at the center. It is to share an unusually meaningful portion of eligible recurring economics with the practitioners and Market Makers who create distribution and ecosystem value.
Many practitioners want more control over their income, their time, their professional identity, and their future. The destination we care about is not simply higher earnings — it is greater agency.
